SharmTaxi ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SharmTaxi mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the SharmTaxi application (the "App") in Sharm El Sheikh and surrounding areas. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) No. 151 of 2020. 

Please read this privacy policy carefully. By accessing and using the App, you explicitly consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described below.

To provide you with reliable transportation services, the App collects the following types of information:

• Personal Data: When you register for an account, we collect personally identifiable information such as your first and last name, phone number, and email address.
• Location Data (GPS): The core function of the SharmTaxi app is to dispatch drivers to your exact location. We collect precise geolocation data from your device when the App is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on-screen) to match you with nearby drivers, track ride progress, and provide safety features.
• Financial Data: We collect payment information to process ride fares. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party payment gateways, and we do not store your full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including the device ID, model, operating system, and App version for troubleshooting and performance optimization.

We collect and process your information only for specific, legitimate purposes, including to: 

• Create and manage your user account.
• Dispatch drivers to your pickup location and navigate to your destination.
• Process payments and generate ride receipts.
• Communicate with you regarding your ride, including driver arrival notifications.
• Monitor and improve the safety, security, and efficiency of our services.
• Comply with applicable local transportation and safety regulations.

The SharmTaxi App is powered by dispatch software infrastructure provided by Onde (Ondemand Apps OÜ). To facilitate your rides, your data (including location, contact details, and ride history) is processed through Onde's secure servers. We do not sell your personal data. Information is only shared with:

• Drivers: Your driver will see your pickup location, destination, and first name to facilitate the ride.
• IT & Software Providers: Onde processes the backend dispatching and routing data on our behalf as an authorized data processor.
• Payment Processors: Third-party gateways handle your financial information securely to process fares.

We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access or disclosure. In the unlikely event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we are obligated under Egyptian Law to notify the Data Protection Center (DPC) within 72 hours, and we will promptly notify affected users as required by law. 

Under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you have the following rights regarding your personal data: 

• Right to Access & Information: You have the right to know what personal data is being collected and how it is being used.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for data processing at any time.
• Right to Erasure (Account Deletion): You can request the permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data directly within the SharmTaxi app settings, or by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete your profile, ride history, and payment methods from our active databases, unless we are legally required to retain specific transactional records.
• Location Permissions: You can manage or revoke the App's access to your location services at any time through your device's settings, though doing so may prevent you from using the core ride-hailing features of the App.
